RuneTyper is my gift to people who love or have an interest in runes! Whether you are interested in runes for religious reasons (for example, if you're a heathen or other variety of pagan), historical reasons (perhaps you are into historical reconstruction), or any other reason, I hope RuneTyper will be useful to you!
RuneTyper is a web app, meaning you can run it from your web browser. It's also a PWA (Progressive Web App), though, meaning you can install it to your device through your web browser. How to do this will vary by browser. You can find instructions on how to do so here.
RuneTyper has been removed from the Google Play Store because I was fed up with dealing with the Play Store and their ever changing requirements. It just got to be too much to deal with. If you'd like to have RuneTyper as a native Android app, uninstall the old RuneTyper (if you have it) and download the updated apk (Android installation file) from here.
To use keyboard support, just click in the textarea, and start typing. If you type a key that doesn't have a rune associated with it, a � will be outputted.
Some runes are keyed to an uppercase letter. If you type a uppercase letter that doesn't have a rune keyed to it, but it's lowercase form does have a rune keyed to it, it will output the rune keyed to the lowercase letter.
