Twenty common words (from a list of English's 100 most common words; it will be different each time)
Notes
This webapp teaches my system for writing in Anglo-Saxon runes, which relies upon using modern spelling rather than being phonetic.
When starting a new level, I recommend using the above chart for the first few rounds. Do not move on to the next level though until you can get 100% on the current level without guessing or checking the above chart.
If you want to learn to write in the runes phonetically, learn first how to write modern English using Old English phonology. Then use the above system for writing the runes using Old English spelling.
By default, this webapp uses the Junicode font. This font makes runes look more historically accurate, and easier to copy by hand. If you prefer, you can use a font that makes the runes look more like what you're likely to find on electronic devices (many of the runes will be more rounded) by checking the ckeckbox above.
